On the occasion of International Women's Violence Prevention and World Human Rights Day (November 25), a debate competition was held as part of Mahila Parishad's series of programs on 'Women-sensitive laws not investment to prevent women's violence'.

The president of the organization Dr. Fawzia Muslim. The opening speech was given by Reena Ahmed, Deputy Council Secretary for Training, Research and Libraries of the organization. The general secretary of the organization, Maleka Banu, gave the welcome speech. Afroza Arman, research officer of the training, research and library sub-council of the organization was the moderator.

Maleka Banu said that the main goal of the women's movement is to establish the equality of men and women like all over the world. It is not possible to implement the goals of the organization without the involvement and enthusiasm of the young society. In order to build a modern, rational, science-based and gender-friendly society instead of superstition, it should be essential to increase the flow of more rational and practical thinking among the youth through debate competitions.

Seema Moslem, joint general secretary of the organization, was present as judge; Deputy Attorney General Amit Dasgupta; Dhaka University Television, Film and Photography Department Assistant Professor Habiba Rahman and Dhaka University Debating Society President Md. Mahbubur Rahman Masum and General Secretary Fuad Hossain.

In the debating competition, among the members of the Debating Society of Dhaka University, the parties were Fariha Naushin, Taslima Tarif Nabila, Mosaddeka Afrin Dola; Abrar Tanim, Mehdi Hasan Public Administration.

In the opposition team were Nahida Sultana, Aliya Sultana Taru, Habibur Rahman Jihad, Mehdi Hasan Siddiqui, Maysha Maliha.

The side wins the competition. Abrar Tamim was the first best speaker among the parties; The 2nd best speaker was the team leader Mehdi Hasan and the third best speaker was Maysha Maliha of the opposition team.

The leaders of the central committee of the organization, the editors, the officers of the organization were present in the event.

As part of the series of programs of Bangladesh Mahila Parishad, the competition was held at the central office of the organization in the capital of the organization in the joint initiative of the central committee of the organization and Dhaka University Debating Society.​
