Zakia Sultana promoted

Industry Ministry Secretary Zakia Sultana has been promoted to the post of Senior Secretary. After promotion he was posted in the same ministry.

A notification in this regard was issued by the Ministry of Public Administration on Wednesday. He is a 10th batch officer of BCS administration cadre.

Since 2012, the post of Senior Secretary has been created in the administration. The post of Senior Secretary is a prestigious post between Secretary and Cabinet Secretary. There are currently 12 senior secretary rank officers in the administration.

Zakia Sultana has served in various important positions in central and field administration. He joined the Ministry of Industry on May 6, 2021. Apart from this, he served as the additional secretary (hospitals) of the Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Health, Ministry of Environment and Forests, Local Government Department, Directorate of Women's Affairs.

While working in the Ministry of Finance, Zakia Sultana played an important role in ensuring financial transparency through digitization of banks. Served in field administration in Munshiganj and Narayanganj.

Zakia Sultana was born in Natore district in 1968. He obtained BSc (Anatomy) degree from Dhaka University in 1989 and MSc (Anatomy) degree in 1991 and later MSc degree in Environmental Science and Management from Victoria University, Australia.
