JCP president, secretary meet PM

Jatiya Press Club President Farida Yasmin and Secretary Shyamal Dutta  have held a courtesy meeting with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

The journalists' leaders gave a bouquet of flowers to the prime minister during the meeting that took place at her Gono Bhaban residence on Monday afternoon.

During the meeting, JPC president and secretary discussed various issues related to sustainable journalism with the premier.

They also hold talks on the present media situation in the country. Detailed discussion over establishing the 21-storied Bangabandhu Media Complex on the JPC premises has also been held at the meeting.

The premier assured JPC President Farida Yasmin of keep continuing her all out support in this regard.

PM Sheikh Hasina meanwhile called upon the media workers and journalists to publish and circulate authentic news.
