Raju Srivastava, India’s star of comedy, passes away

Legendary comic Raju Srivastava passed away at the age of 58. He was admitted at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS). On August 10, Raju Srivastava experienced a heart attack and required hospitalization after reporting chest pains while using a treadmill at the gym. The following day, he also had an angioplasty.

Hospital reports claim that around 10.20 am Raju Srivastava was declared dead.

Since the late 1980s, Srivastava has worked in the entertainment sector. In 2005, he won praise for his performance on the first season of the stand-up comedy program "The Great Indian Laughter Challenge." He played roles in movies like "Main Prem Ki Deewani Hoon," "Aamdani Atthanni Kharcha Rupaiya," and "Maine Pyar Kiya," among others.

Raju Srivastava, one of the most well-known and accomplished comedians in the nation, left behind his wife and two kids.
